November 5: Lily's Half Day

Lily is 6-and-a-half today!  As always, we took our usual birthday traditions and cut them in half -- so Lily received half a card and half a cake, with 6-and-a-half candles to blow out while the rest of us sang  a rousing chorus of "Happy Half Day to you!"  We always give the girls three smallish gifts on their half days, one of which is always a book.  Lily was delighted to unwrap a tiny Hello Kitty playset, a Barbie cd, and Marshmallow by Clare Turlay Newberry.

364 days is a long time to wait in between birthdays when you're six.
